Latest find for the collection: Biscuit plate in brown transferware pattern “Cairo” circa 1885 by Copeland.  Cairo is a fascinating pattern as it combines Japanese elements and style with Egyptian/Middle Eastern motifs such as the camel in the unfurling scroll here.
